Mijas Costa and Fuengirola
An area with strong vacation rental demand thanks to its beaches and well-established tourist atmosphere. Fuengirola in particular has good commuter train links to Málaga city, which also makes it attractive for long-term rental to residents who work in the city.
Benalmádena and Torremolinos
Two of the province's most established tourist municipalities, with well-developed hotel and leisure infrastructure. It's an area with a good balance between vacation demand in high season and residential demand the rest of the year, which makes it attractive for both vacation rentals and the Living model in larger properties.
Málaga city
The city concentrates the most diverse demand: year-round urban tourism (not just in summer), students, relocated professionals, and buyers looking to live in the city. It's the area where room-by-room rental tends to perform best, precisely because of that constant demand for mid-term stays.
Rincón de la Victoria and Vélez-Málaga
Areas with more accessible entry prices than Málaga city or the central Costa del Sol, and growing demand from both residents and second-home buyers. They tend to be interesting for anyone investing on a tighter budget without giving up the coast.
Nerja
A benchmark for quality tourism in the eastern part of the province, with strong seasonality but very good returns in high season. It's an area more oriented towards second homes and vacation rentals than year-round residence.
